Drones to monitor US Borders starting this month

The United States has decided to step up security in 2009. unmanned drone aircraft are set to start patrolling the US/Canadian border.
The drones, which will fly from Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, will begin air patrols in early January 2009. each drone has a series of cameras and relay apparatus; allowing their on the ground controllers to direct them as needed.
The drones are expected to contribute toward the control of our northern most border by US Immigration and Border Patrol; as well as to assist Homeland Security. there is a shortage of manpower in both Border Patrol and Homeland Security. which is why the drones will be employed to lend an aerial view of a wider area.
these drones will be manned by a special team, trained to pay attention to changes in the topography. Drones were recently employed in Israel against the Palestinians; to aid in their land based invasion.
After successful deployment on the northern border, the drones are expected to be deployed on the southern border, to help with border issues faced from Mexico. there is a wall being constructed on this US Mexico border presently, and when these drones are deployed; they will take over where the Border Patrol needs assistance - monitoring the vast stretches of Desert and Wall - 24 hours a day, three hundred sixty five days a year.
