Did you know - it takes 700 years for a Plastic Bottle to Disintegrate
A Green Economy has to rely on all phases of it’s response to be both green in environmental return; but also in economic return to those who recycle.
Many state legislatures put in place Bottle Deposit laws initially to help with the trash issue. only later to discover that there is of course an upside. The residual return of dollars into the state coffers; from those unredeemed bottle deposits.
Forward Acting States Such as Connecticut, New York, Iowa and Michigan are again asking on the ballot for measures to expand their existing bottle deposit laws.
By doing this they hope to join Maine, California, Oregon and Hawaii in changing the existing bottle deposit rates; to better enable and encourage recycling.
In each state where the bottle deposit laws exist; they have drawn praise from recycling groups and citizens as an economical win. but retailers, and in somecase bottlers are calling the changes political tricks.
We Think it’s better to save that bottle and take it back, to help return the bottle to a usable material state; or to make something neat with the bottles you choose to keep.
We hope you’ll watch this amazing Video about Water Bottle Recycling and it’s effects.
